Marine Corps Ball 2014 – Our Last One

This past Friday was our last Marine Corps ball. ever. like ever ever. No more dressing up in ball gowns & standing next to my man in his dress blues while we celebrate the birthday of our beloved Marine Corps. The ball is one of the most special evenings of the year & one of the reasons why I love being a marine wife. I love honoring the corps & I love hearing the amazing things the marines has done over the years & what an amazing group of men & women my husband is a part of. It’s a night that I am reminded how brave my husband was to join the military to defend our country after 9/11. It’s a night that we celebrate what the Marine Corps is all about. I’m going to miss going to the Marine corps ball every year, but ever November 10th we will still celebrate the Marine corps birthday because it’s forever a part of us & who we are.

Thankfully my beautiful friend Rachael from Rach Lea Photography was visiting us here in North Carolina from Savannah. Georgia this weekend & she was able to get a few photos of us all dressed up before we left for the ball. I am so thankful for these photos & will treasure them forever. She took these photos on our lovely street here in NewBern & the location will be such a great memory for us too.

Sorry for the picture overload, but man oh man they mean so much to me & my marine. In 19 days we will be moving to Michigan & leaving this beautiful military life behind, so that makes these extra special to us. I hope you enjoyed a glimpse in to our night & we love sharing these special moments with you. The dress I am wearing is from a local boutique here in NewBern called JaqJill. If you are in the area it’s my favorite place to shop, just check my bank account. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more updates. xx
