DIY Mason Jar Holder – The Updated Version

Wow. I can’t believe I’m writing about a mason jar holder. Not because they aren’t amazing, but because this was one of my first EVER blog posts 3 years ago back when I was blogging only for my mom to see it. Really. I was living 1,000 miles away from family & friends & they wanted to see my projects I was doing so this is where the blog started. I created this mason jar holder before I knew what Pinterest was, before I followed other blogs, before I knew there was this DIY community online. Actually this project is what helped me discover Pinterest. One day I noticed a lot of people coming to my blog from this strange site called Pinterest. Not knowing what the site was, I went to it & thought it was a foreign website that I couldn’t understand. Later I caught on to what Pinterest was & how amazing it was and got addicted & learned that my mason jar holder was one of the most popular things on Pinterest at that time. I was even published in a book about the Power of Pinterest because of my mason jar holder. I mean, basically we owe a lot to that little project. Anyways, another funny thing is that I get about 5 emails daily about the mason jar holder I made so long ago. Emails filled with questions about how to make them.. apparently my tutorial was not helpful so Mr. LMB & I wanted to clear that up for you today! We made a new mason jar holder for one of our bathrooms & a few for our booth to sell, so we decided to share with you a new and improved tutorial to clear up some questions. Please excuse the photos in this post #bathroomwithnowindows #bloggerproblems oh my I just hash tagged in my blog post, that’s proof that I’m writing this at 2:30am. Goodnight!

One of the big questions I get is what other uses do these mason jar holders have besides a bathroom organizer? Well, succulent planters, kitchen utensils, craft supplies, & I could go on.. use your imagination & the possibilities are endless! Of course I still think my favorite way is to organize my cotton balls, cotton squares, floss, & my most used makeup items. The little guys can hang in any room of your home & really organize & hold anything, I guess that’s what makes them so great.

Another question I get all the time is How do you hang your mason jar holder? Well, we use a regular old picture hanger, but you can use any kind of picture hanger you are comfortable with. You can find them in the hardware aisle at any hardware store. Just choose one that fits the weight requirement of what you will be using your mason jar holder for. We purchased the mason jars from TSC & we had the wood hanging around the house. I painted the board with some gray chalk paint I had left over from another project. & the pipe clams were purchased from the hardware store as well.

Now the most asked question of them all is, how do I attach the pipe clamps to the board. Well, that’s the hardest part & the full tutorial for this is over on craftsmandrive.com {here}. & I really hope that helps all of you with this project because it seems to be the hardest & most frustrating part. For all the measurements, tips & tricks, & more head on over to his blog for all of his knowledge & how to make these awesome mason jar organizers.

I’m still in shock that I’m sitting here three years later writing about these mason jar holders & that it’s still one of the most popular posts on my blog. It makes me really think of how I started this whole blogging journey & it makes me so grateful to where I have gone with it. I mean, maybe the mason jar holder is really where it all started? Ps. Like this little sneak peek of our master bathroom? Honestly after the new cabinets & countertops were installed, nothing much else has been done, but I will be updating you on the house very very very soon. What do you think of our mason jar holders? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on instagram! Also, if you are not wanting to make some of your own & you are in our area, you can soon buy these at our booth. Hope to see you there! xx
