Sewn From Scratch #1

Hello! I want to share this with you finally. For those of you who follow me on FB or Twitter, you may have seen little sneak peeks of this dress, but I wanted to provide a more descriptive post. So, I made this baby from scratch and I actually love it! To make it, I used Simplicity pattern 2209. It was pretty easy to use. I did have to make some adjustments to the pattern because I have a short torso.The fabric I used was a printed linen from JOAnn Fabrics that I bought about a year ago. The print is fresh and fun. And the blue is so vibrant. I think it's my favorite dress in my closet right now. And I made it! I really hope to enhance my sewing skills and take on more Sewn from Scratch projects.
