Dustyn’s First Day of 1st Grade

Well my biggest boy started 1st Grade today. I still can not believe it. Seems like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. Before I talk about Dustyn’s first day lets take a little time hop and remember him on all of his first days of school. Ahhh. He was so tiny and young in preschool.

Yesterday morning he wasn’t sure about going back to school. He started getting upset once it was time to leave, but Kenny said Dustyn did fine when he dropped him off. Later in the day I decided to call his teacher just to check and see how he was doing. She said he had been as happy as a lark. So that made me feel better.

“Mom, are we done yet?” It is really hard to get him to let me take any photos of him, but I hope he will be thankful for them when he grows up.

Once he got home we talked about his day. He said he really liked his teacher and was excited to see some of his friends from last year. This morning he was totally fine when getting ready to leave. I think this year is going to be a good year for him.
