Tell Kids: Fail fast, fail often

I love this image from PEPparent.org
Some of the greatest successes come from failure. So often our kids are afraid to fail. They want to be the best, to achieve success, to have things come easily. But growth, learning, and self-confidence come from facing challenges. In order to succeed as people, we must be willing to fail.

We need to encourage our children to embrace the mantra of the Maker Movement: Fail fast, fail often. Or, as Miss Frizzle from the Magic School Bus would say, “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!”

Share the image from PEPparent with your kids today and talk with them about the importance of failure as a way to grow and learn.
