Lief: Carousel Theater review and get post

It came in the mail today! Just in time for the Lief brand tea party even happening tomorrow.

Beautiful gold printing on the bottom.

It’s heavy and a little stiff, but I think that it’s just going to stay on better than say a thin-printed dress. I was actually really worried that the print looked really chunky and un-detailed in the catalog photos but, sample photos are always different from post-production. I have a feeling, that outside of crappy bedroom shots, this dress photographs very well.

The fabric is made of a heavy cotton weave, so it’s probably not best to wear in the summer. Early spring/Fall/Winter type, yep.

The blouse is comfortable and breathes pretty well. It’s not super heavy in fabric, but it’s not thin and cheap feeling. It’s very comfortable. The color is a little darker cream than I expected, but it’s tone matches the cooled warmth of the reds in the dress nicely.

Just the utmost attention to detail. It’s very well made. 4/5 for detail

The bonnet is a soft half bonnet with buckram(?) in the visor. It’s detailed but, not so much that you can’t add your own little treasures to make it stand out all the more.

Overall, with shipping included, I feel like I got more than what I paid for. I am so pleased and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed by Lief. This really just reaffirms that belief for me.

9.5/10 overall score

(I’ll post worn photos of it after the tea event on Sunday, March 30th)

Please look forward to it!
