Chanel Le Lift Serum

Chanel Le Lift

There are two new line extensions of Chanel Le Lift heading our way in September. I find Chanel skin care very interesting – if you look on Paula’s Choice (recommended site for the low down on absolutely everything skin care) I’m not sure she could like anything less (too much water, too much fragrance), and yet, when I’ve put Le Lift out to test on friends, they love it. One friend said she felt as though she was using ‘something very special indeed’.

Chanel Le Lift Serum uses resveratrol to – in their own words – ‘reprogramme the skin’s innermost mechanisms’. In very basic terms – I have reams of info here that I have no hope of deciphering – Chanel Le Lift Serum uses Resveratrol-12, patented by Chanel to be a very stable form of Reveratrol. Bottom line is thickening of the epidermis and reactivation of collagen and elastin fibres, which is pretty much what all anti-ageing products claim to do.. Chanel are just going the long way about it.

It is heavily perfumed – as is the eye cream and first ingredient is water, followed by alcohol, neither of which, by anyone’s standards would be said to be great for the skin. So, going back to the user experience – it feels special and it certainly looks special and Idon’t doubt that it will give collagen a boost – it comes down to personal budget and choice and if this is going to make you feel more pampered and more special, then it’s job done. I’m not sure I’d put it to the top of my must-have pile, though.

Chanel Le Lift costs £98, launches in September, while the Le Lift Eye Cream is £63 and launches at the same time.
