Chevelle Concert – Sugarpill Cosmetics

I know lovelies, I’ve been absolutely gone and invincible… Until now. Aaaand yes, I know I’ve said this many many times over the past few years… The thing is, I really wanted to make a sweeping comeback and a glamorous return.

Truth be told, that will doubtfully happen…. Just because of the way life pans out. Right? Yeah. Exactly.

Anywho- without delving into personal stuff, I’m lucky to have a great support network around me who recognize when things are getting too tough and it’s time to call it a night…. And literally drag me out along as well.
Warning: Adult Language Iminent!
This particular evenings wear consisted of me saying “Fuck it, I may not feel fierce, but I can fake it with some makeup…”

And thus I did.

This is the first time in months I wore anything other than neutrals and regular brows on my face. I’m also trying out his whole posting thing from my phone, so if it’s wonky, I’m sorry.

Chevelle at The State Theater in Portland, ME. This called for drama. This called for oomph. This called for glam. And falsies. All black clothing, little tough and a little lace.

Out came my Sugarpill goodies, because I wanted to finally play with my Cold Chemistry Palette, and also needed true red brows for what I planned. Lashes- I grabbed a pair of thick falsies and my deluxe sample tube of Benefit’s They’re Real!! mascara.

And off we went.
That’s right boys and girls- this entire shebang done look was applied in a moving vehicle on terrible Maine roads at twilight with no extra light assistance. I have to give myself a moment here and a pat on the back, because I’m getting damn good at putting my makeup on in a vehicle. (While someone else is driving, of course! Otherwise- WAYYY too dangerous)

On My Face:
Holika Holika’s All That BB in shade A
Maybelline’s FitMe Foundation in T-Zone to highlight, Shade 110
Rimmel London 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter (can’t remember the shade off the top of my head… Lightest one there is!!)
Benefit’s Hoola to contour cheeks, nose
Milani Baked blush in Fantastico Mauve
Fergie Centerstage Collection Highlighter in Champagne Rose
E.L.F. Cosmetics HD powder to set

On My Eyes:
UDPP original formula
Jordana’s 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in 02 Stay-On Black on lids, slightly smoked out above the crease (this stuff dries fast, so work quickly!)
NYX JEP in Milk above crease
-also used to white out and sketch brows
Sugarpill’s Cold Chemistry Palette:
Soot and Stars on lid, swept into crease and blended out lightly
Subterranean on inner third of eyes
Elemental Chaos blended into my upper crease, and used on my lower lash line
At this point, my eyes went from smokey to blacked out and I was just fine with it. I tightlined my upper and lower lids with Urban Decay’s 24/7 liner in Perversion, then set the bottom with more Bulletproof. I ran a light line along my upper lid above my lashes and darkened it up more with Bulletproof. No need for black eyeliner- it pretty much got lost!
I swept on two coats of They’re Real! mascara… Then decided applying falsies in a moving vehicle may just be a little too brave a thing for me to take on, so one more coat of mascara and it looked like I had them on anyways.

I whited out my brows using Milk, then started out with Sugarpill’s Love , and faded into a black ombré with Bulletproof.

By this point we hit town (again, it took so long to do because this was done in the moving vehicle, on bumpy roads!)
I lined my lips in a berry pencil, popped on M.A.C. Viva Glam Rhianna.
Cleaned up with a little concealer, and there you go vamps…

It was an awesome show, great friends and company, and the opening bands were pretty cool! It was a good night to have to just go out and chill.

Of course, obligatory Denny’s Diner “Lemon Mouth” shot!

Would you rock a look like this?
