Lulu Guinness Birchbox

Lets start with the exciting news of Lulu Guinness collaborating with the fabulous guys at Birchbox, the iconic British handbag designer has included samples of her favourite makeup and a candy rock inspired by her latest collection. She’s also added a little booklet on her life lessons revealing her dessert island must have and beauty icon.

Before you open the beauty box you are greeted with a special Lulu Guinness sleeve which has an image from her latest collection and iconic lips logo. Inside you will find a drawstring bag containing all the goodies some of which selected by Lulu herself!

I was pleasantly suprised by this sweet but heady scent, the sweetness of the pear and vanilla mixes beautifully with the floral notes of jasmine and gardenia. It has also passed the Mr test as he told me he liked the fragrance which he is quite picky with.

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray | £20.50

As one who has yet to try this I’m quite excited as it is a primer that not only ensures eyeshadows don’t budge but concealers too! great idea for those who complain of their concealer missing by 3pm.

Dr brandt | £39

This pore refiner was a popular choice when I worked at Space NK, the packaging appeals to both men and women and does it’s job very well. For oily/combination skin this works by mattifying the area and making pores look minimised and the skin smooth. Because of this, it makes it the perfect base for makeup and can be applied over and under your daily maquillage. It has quite a strong scent but doesn’t put me off. The fact it blurs fine lines and absorbs excess oil makes me feel happy.

Korres Citrus Body Milk | £9.50

A hydrating lotion containing almond oil and shea butter with a fresh citrus scent

Aroma Works Nuture Oil | £32.50

A lightweight citrus scented oil made from a blend of oils including nourishing coconut oil. Skin feels moisturised but not greasy at all.

As an extra Lulu has added a stick of black and white rock with Lulu Guinness stamped in the center, it looks tempting to eat but I think I’m going to keep it along with the box casing
