Sephora Sydney - Exclusive Brands Preview: International Brands
Beauty heaven in Australia has almost landed! The first ever
Sephora store in Australia will be opening in
Pitt Street Mall, Sydney in December.
Saying that I am bursting with excitement would be understating it… and the preview for
Sephora did not let me down. Last week, beauty media & VIPs headed to
Carriageworks in Redern to see
Sephora brought to life. It was simultaneously exciting and overwhelming walking in with dozens of brands just waiting to be played with, and we were more than happy to oblige.
Brace yourselves, there is too much content to feature in one post, so I'll spread it out... #tease
Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to make the rounds to each and every single brand – there were just so many! But here's an overview of just SOME of the international brands to hit
Sephora...
Antonym
What first attracted me to
Antonym is the gorgeous design and packaging made out of bamboo. Then I was very happy to learn that this natural and organic brand, doesn't test on animals as well!
Elizabeth and James
Yes, growing up I was an
Olsen twins fan. I was obsessed with
Full House which in turn led me down the path of being obsessed with them - think movies, dolls, books... You get the drift.
So a wee bit excited about their beauty extension of their label,
Elizabeth and James (named after their siblings) hitting our shores very soon.
There are 2 scents in their fragrance range:
Nirvana White (my personal favourite!) - Delicate peony, muguet, and musk wrap an alluring sophistication around a soft blend.
Nirvana Black - Sensual violet, sandalwood, and vanilla strike the perfect balance of masculine and feminine.
Find out more about the range
here.
Formula X
An extensive range of shades from
Formula X from the classics to the glitters, with polishes priced at $20-22 each.
Givenchy
Stunning. The
Le Rouge from
Givenchy is defined as a couture lipstick which is encased in metal and black leather. Boasting 17 shades from nude to the bold, it will be available exclusively in
Sephora at $59 each.
Hello Kitty
My inner child screamed for joy at the sight of
Hello Kitty! This range is more aimed for the tween set with it's super cute packaging, but wouldn't it just be divine if they made something a bit more mature for those not ready to grow up? #yesme
Kat Von D
I was incredibly impressed with the extensive range from
Kat Von D. There are THIRTY highly pigmented lipsticks in the range from conventional nudes, sultry reds to quirky purples. While there are eighteen shades of foundation in the range! Australia seems to have a serious lack of paler and the more darker shades, so this is very welcome.
Marc Jacobs Beauty
Beautiful. Just beautiful. I love the sleek design and definitely have the lipsticks and nail polishes on my wishlist from the
Marc Jacobs Beauty range.
Tarte
So purple that
Prince would approve. Natural, cruelty-free and has sustainable (yet, still gorgeous) packaging... clearly
tarte has hit the trifecta for ethical beauty!
To create a mental wishlist of what you want to land in Oz like I have, go have an innocent window shop on the
Sephora website.
I attended the Sephora Preview as a media guest.
