Life Lately #1

I enjoy the randomness of life lately type posts and I decided to jump on the bandwagon and start my own series. I tried to come up with a clever title but let's just say it how it is...this is my life lately and this is edition 1!

(Top to bottom, L-R)

1. My new favourite skirt from Reiss was worn this week. This was a spendy purchase - especially as I had to buy it from the UK and couldn't take advantage of my UAE discount - but so worth it. I'll do a proper post soon! Zara took this photo (thanks Zara!) after a shisha session at Reem al Bawadi in Downtown.

2. A visit to Dubai Mall typically comes with a trip to Level Shoe District. This is the largest shoe emporium in the world and has every brand under the sun. Having said that my quest for summer sandals goes on....I cannot seem to find the right pair.

3. Miso cod and wasabi mash at Katsuya. This is my new favourite restaurant. The food was SENSATIONAL. Definitely head here if you are on holiday because if you get a table on the balcony you get an epic view of the fountains and Burj Khalifa.

4. Sandcastles in JBR...snapped during a girl's night out that is documented in
Simone's vlog :)

5. My current make up rut - Laura Mercier mineral foundation, Collection 2000 concealer, MAC Lingering eyebrow pencil, NYX Terracotta blusher and Bobbi Brown shadows feature heavily.

6. The Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Palette. I LOVE this at the moment. Well, technically I love two shadows: Beige and Fog (second row, far left). It annoys me that I can't see the single version of these on the Bobbi Brown website. I don't know what I am going to do when I hit pan.

7. A dress I am currently considering from Max & Co. I think I might wait until it's on sale - we are probably only about a month away from that time, right?

8. Marc Jacobs lipstick in Moody Margot. I felt so naughty buying this - another nude lipstick....yawn - but it's a lovely shade on. It's more on the beige nude side and the white undertone is scant so it doesn't corpse the lips out.

9. Roger meeting our new family member. She (still need to choose a name!) came home with us today so is still in an adjustment phase. She had a difficult start to life, having been kept in a cage in a room with about 50 other chihuahuas, none of which had much human contact. She likes cuddles though and Roger is very happy to have her around so with lots of TLC she should settle in nicely. Fingers crossed!

See you all tomorrow!
