someone who’s inspiring me.

When I read about young people (mostly girls) who have become photographers and publish their photos in magazines and at respected webpages I always get this stich of envy. I hate it, and I think it’s because of the fact that I’m in the same age as them, and I still haven’t achieved anything like that yet, and also that I know that I can’t never become exactly as them, and that’s the point with art in every form. You’re depending on your personal style. If you haven’t got it, you can’t become something grand. You can of course learn more about the thing you’re doing and become better at it in that way, but you’ll never get your personal touch from anywhere but from within. At least I think it’s that way. It’s kinda’ sad, mostly for me since I prevent myself from trying different things.

Anyway, Laura Lynn Petrick is a young woman who has caught my attention by her photography. (http://www.lauralynnpetrick.com/) . She only shoots analogue (something I have to learn aswell..) and she never does any kind of post-editing. She’s truly inspiring.

Here’s an interview.

Oh, by the way. I’ve made a new good playlist for you to listen.
