Earrings - Topshop, Dress and Shoes - Zara, Clutch - Thrifted

I remember when I just started blogging that I wrote about an engagement party that I attended. And how I witnessed the "Will you marry me?" and "Yes!!" dialogue between the couple. Also, how time is slowly flying beyond my eyes that the last time I remembered, I was just attending the 18th birthday party, or the debut of a friend. I never had one of those by the way, my parents gave me money instead. Anyway, three weeks ago, before fashion week, I attended a beach wedding with JC in Batangas. The first wedding that we attended together. Wow I am really getting older. What's next after the friends' weddings? Christening of their babies? or Maybe 1st birthday party?

Before the wedding, I had the hardest time looking for something to wear. First, I didn't have enough time to look. Second, I really didn't know what to wear to a beach wedding. And last but not least, there's a dress code - we were only allowed to wear pastel colors. I couldn't wear white, (I think the bride has all the right to be the only one in white on her day, unless stated otherwise) definitely not black too. I opted for this dress from Zara that's not exactly pastel colored but not black and is lightweight and airy, perfect for one hot afternoon beach wedding. Paired with my new favorite gladiator summer sandals which aren't the most perfect footwear for the season, now that the rainclouds are upon the Philippine islands once more. Although the rain might still spare other parts of the world since in other continents, summer is just starting. And you know, this year I might be enjoying two summers. There's a chance for me to wear the sandals again, but not here.
