TUESDAY GOODY BAG*

we love going to new places whether it is for a weekend, a week or a long period of time. it is truly one of the greatest things in all of life.
i have this habit when going someplace new, or rather a desire, to experience the new place as though i actually lived there for a bit. i find it infinitely exciting to meet local people, try as many things and places that will really give me a taste of the city. this is why i do not dress like a tourist...instead, i dress like myself. to be even more precise, i dress like i would if i had a few days off in new york and went about my favorite things and places.
{purse} {jeans} {trousers} {tote} {shirt} {booties} it is also really important to dress with versatility. what i mean is, it is very convenient to choose outfits that are not too dressy or casual, outfits which you can alter with few changes and go from daytime to nightime. it is not always easy to carry many things with you on trips, not to mention the cost of overweight luggage. therefore, when you pick a few classic, key and good pieces you can mix and match them, take out a bag, add a small purse, change a bracelet or some earrings and you're good to go from museum to dinner with style and respectability.

such pieces can be:
*a solid color button down that doesn't crumple like linen would for example
*a couple of t shirts which can be interchanged underneath a cardigan or sweater
* a scarf that matches at least most of your items
*booties with a low heel (they are excellent for walking and can be worn to dinner or a pub)
*a few simple yet pretty accessories (not necessary to bring out all the bling)

what do you look to when you want to dress with versatility? let's share our favourite items.

xoxo
