Put Your Sassy Shoes On

Fashion is fun. For a lot of reasons. I've always found joy in putting together a new outfit, dressing up for a night out, trying out a new look. But yesterday I was reminded of why I think it's especially fun - because clothes and accessories actually have the power to transform your mood and/or convey what's going on inside to the world around you.
When I put this outfit together in my head I was feeling sassy and feisty and actually pretty pissed off about something. The kind of anger that makes you want to respond physically to get rid of it. Whether that's going for a run or channeling it into your work or stomping around in your best high heels till it works its way out of your being. And that last response was exactly what I chose. I knew I wanted to wear my favorite black heels, and then the rest of my outfit was formed around that. I matched my outfit to my mood. And then found myself channeling this badass strength I hadn't experienced in quite some time. And it felt good.
I know strength shouldn't only come when you have your favorite shoes on, or your best dress. But if they can be contributors to bringing those feelings to the surface, then by all means girl, you rock those heels, and you wear the hell out of that dress.

Thanks for the pics Kelsey girl ;)
