Sew Bossy: The reveal
I'm a little bit late to reveal my side of the
SEW BOSSY. Firstly let me shout how awesome is Lauren's Birthday dress. She did such an amazing job and you can read all about it
here.

I saw many interesting fabrics and settle with 2 metres of a navy feather print cotton sateen (one of my favourite fabrics types) from a previous trip Brasil. Gosh! That's a while ago!
Instant fabric love!!! So much I took home extra 2 metres for me. Well.. seems like Lauren had the same idea about what she bought for me. Remember her
Bella Jean Dress?
Let's talk about my project:
As you probably know it took us one year to get this going. In my opinion the main the reason is that we both are so similar. We love & know well our own personal style, making it difficult to be bossed around. Similarly we like clothes with minimum ease, classic with an interesting design detail.
The original pattern sent :
Simplicity 2145 didn't work for me. Luckily Lauren was super cool about me going on a complete tangent.
Many times I thought about sewing
Brasilia dress but gave up because I couldn't find it in the current mess that my sewing room is. *
updated, I bought a sewing caddy just for used patterns and on a process of organising my space.
Pattern testing and other commitments made me postpone yet again and went to Brasil for 30 days. Upon my return Sew over it newest pattern was in my post box:
The ultimate trousers
I been waiting to sew this pattern for ages. Ask Lisa! I must have asked for the release date a million times. Even considered to join the class so I could have it. Didn't take long for me to sew. This pattern is the easiest trouser pattern I even made.
I love sewing pretty and sexy dresses etc. However what I really wear on my day to day? Cigarette trousers, blazers... oh and sunglasses!
No questions this pattern suits my lifestyle and I should invest on a few more.
Pattern Stats: A basic fifties capri silhouette made size 10, adding 5 cm length. Nothing else was changed.
I used everything that came into my sew bossy kit. The invisible zipper would have been to short for a dress but was size perfect for this pattern. I think Lauren will approve the bias binding finish as her trousers always looks great inside.
