It is just another average winter day in Toronto. Snow was falling heavily. I wore red skinny dress pants with a white oversized sweater, white rain boots and a red beanie with a cute little bow. It was hard to putting together a decent outfit after 4 hours of sleep.
People were rushing to get home in the chilly weather. Suddenly I realized the landing page for the user-generated content eBook I just launched is broken. Why do bad things always happen to good people? Does the fashion police have to punish me for a bad outfit? I am standing in middle of a busy intersection and have no idea what I am going to do. I was the last person who touched the page and now it is broken. I thought I only knew how to break people not websites. All my ad campaigns were running. I am paying money to show people how I am failing. I texted everyone I could and asked them to check the code. No response, the sky was falling.
In the middle of a panic attack, I looked up and something magical happened, I forgot about my crisis for a few minutes. There was a charming guy with beautiful blond hair wearing perfect tailored suit, silk tie and navy Burberry trench coat. He was the real life version of the preppy Gossip Girl politician, Tripp Vanderbilt. But it was better than just a good looking guy, his beautiful brown leather shoes have slippers. It is hard not to adore a guy who knows how to take care of his shoes. I didn’t even know there are slippers for shoes. If Carrie Bradshaw has Mr. Big, mystery man could be my Mr. Right.
I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.

How could I look like crap especially when I meet the man of my dreams? I failed to dress up for destiny. How can I talk to a well-dressed man while looking beyond horrible? I thought that day couldn’t get worse. I debated in my mind if I should go over and tell him how much I adore his shoes slippers. If I don’t ask, the answer will always be no. I decided to go over. I looked up and realized he had already crossed the street and disappeared in the crowd.
Mystery man was gone with his mystery shoes slippers and my heart.
If Prince Charming found Cinderella with a glass slipper, maybe I could find mystery man by finding the mystery slippers. Those mystery slippers were galoshes, a type of rubber boots that are slipped over shoes to keep them from getting muddy or wet. Every man should get a pair to protect your beautiful pair of leather shoes from puddles and snow especially if you have to deal with the Canadian winter. The salt and snow will damage your leather shoes. Mystery man wore Swims brand galoshes. The beautiful pair of Classic Black galoshes looked beautifully with his brown shoes. He looked like he just walked out from Swims’s lookbook. It is just hard not falling in love with a man who loves his shoes.
The search for the mystery shoes slipper wasn’t too hard, but I wasn’t lucky like Prince Charming. It didn’t give me clue where I can find mystery man. Google, you need new search feature for random good looking man on the street. Do I really need to contact NSA to track this guy down? Hold on I am in Canada, what is the Canadian version of the NSA?

Maybe I will come back to the place we first met, and hope for miracle to happen. If it was meant to be, I will bump into him again. Opp, did I forget to mention it was right outside the soon-to-open 342,000 square foot Saks Fifth Avenue store? If I don’t meet mystery man again, I will be more than happy to settle with the charming Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo or Roger Vivier. Millions of girls adore these men and their beautiful shoes, it is hard to go wrong with them.
