My Bedroom - Progress at last!

At long last I have made some progress on the design and
styling of my own bedroom! A couple of months ago I hired
the lovely Viera from VT Interiors to custom-make my lovely
upholstered bed (after falling in love with this Jonathan
Adler bed at JCPenney
). Shipping would have been way
too expensive so I opted to get it custom-made locally. I
chose to upholster the bed in Zander Marble fabric from
Warwick Fabrics - it has a great chunky/woven type of texture
with flecks of white and cream to create a soft neutral look.

I purchased the gorgeous Moroccan wedding blanket from
Sally Rhys-Jones
who recently came back from a trip to
Morocco and had brought back with her a whole host of
goodies including wedding blankets and Beni Ourain rugs.
I don't think these pics do it justice, as the little silver
sequins really sparkle when the light hits it. Just magic!

The current bedside tables I have sit way too low and I
know these aren't right for the new bed, but I thought
I'd show you all how it's coming together anyways. I'm
on the hunt for new bedside tables and these ones (click
here
) have caught my eye! I also need a rug to complete
the room - thinking this one (click here) will work beautifully.

Oh and that lamp will be replaced to something taller.
I've got my eyes peeled for something white or
maybe brass in colour and more substantial in size.
