Week roundup

My family came to visit last week (they always come here for a couple of days in Summer!) so we went out to eat every morning and every night, had lovely Korean Tapas at Kochu Karu, I finally tried Transit and we had even more tapas, Spanish ones this time, at Gastón in the middle of Neukölln. It’s funny, people always ask me for restaurant recommendations and while it’s true that I probably know most restaurants there are in Berlin through my job, I always find it so hard to recommend anything. There’s just too much to choose from and I never have time to try them all myself. And who goes to restaurants all alone anyways? (Plus, I’m not even sure if I trust my judgement, I like pretty much everything as long as it’s edible.)

On Saturday and Sunday my brother and I went to see Die Ärzte at Tempelhof Airport, only three stops away from my house. Two long days and two big stadium shows in front of 40,000 people, but a lot better than I had expected. For some reason this blog must give people the idea that all I do is see this bloody band when in fact it’s not even true. I do see them if I can be bothered and have the chance, but it’s more of a nostalgic leftover from my early teenage years.

Now my family is back in Cologne and I’m back to my normal work week. It took me about two weeks to get back into the rhythm of normal everyday life after a whole month of doing practically nothing and it still feels a little weird to get up around the same time every day just to go to the same place and actually be productive (ugh, I know, #firstworldproblems). But I’ll have people staying over from tomorrow, parties to go to, another gig in another city coming up on Saturday so I’m not too worried about getting too bored.
