What I'm Happy About Week 4

Morning morning! Here's the fourth installment of my Happiness blog post series! To read about what this series means to me, feel free to check out the first post here :)

1. Wardrobe-ready for winter

From L to R: 'Helena brushed wool biker coat', 'Sophie single breasted coat' in warm berry, powder blue
Right now in Sydney we're in the middle of autumn (or fall), and then it will be winter! So I've been stocking up on winter coats (never mind that I already have a bunch from previous winters, new is always good :)) I find that I always buy the most amazing winter jackets and coats from Forever New! It's often so difficult to find reasonably-priced coats in Australia that are good quality, and also have trendy designs and styles. I'm so glad that I was able to find such amazing coats (all in a single haul!) to get me prepped for the upcoming winter.

I only modelled one jacket from my Forever New haul so far- the 'Helena brushed wool coat'. The material has a beautiful wool touch and in real life it looks so much expensive than it is ($150 AUD). The zips give it an edgy look and this coat is like the longer, warmer version of my zip biker jackets.

And here is the outfit that is hiding underneath the oversize grey coat! Besides being able to wear beautiful coats, colder weather is also a great time to bring out my collection of long-sleeved blouses. This mint coloured one from Sheinside makes a perfect addition, and I love the subtle touch of detail with the metallic collar tips.
2. Fitness progress
Palm trees sports crop top: Cotton On Shorts: Nike Mint green sneakers: Cotton On
I have been soooo excited and pleased about this for a while! Lately I have been hitting the gym almost 3-4 times a week, training different areas of my body according to a training program my personal trainer has given me. I've noticed that I've gotten a lot more toned than before in all areas, especially on my arms and legs (which I have been putting more focus on). This makes me really excited because my arms are my biggest problem area (my upper arm strength is ridiculously bad, I couldn't even lift and throw a ball in high school sport) but I have been progressively increasing the weights I lift, and I have been noticing definition in them too! You can't really tell in the photos, but a lot of people have already told me they've noticed definition on my arms! :)
Amazingly I think the muscle training is also affecting my eating habits, where I crave less junk than before and I instead eat a lot of meat everyday (which is going straight to my muscles! :)) I can't believe I spent years not doing any weight training (just trying to diet and using only cardio for exercise), because it actually benefits you in so many ways and can help you achieve a stronger, more toned body much, much better.

3. Unexpected Gifts
'Fabulous' fragrance: Victoria's Secret Earrings: Neiman Marcus
It always makes me feel so loved to receive random gifts every now and then! A new Victoria's Secret has opened recently near my workplace, and I have been itching to go there. My current perfume is running out and my boyfriend has kindly replaced it for me, with 'Fabulous'. It's the perfect scent for me! It contains juicy currant, osmanthus blossom, and pink freesia. I personally prefer sweet, almost lolly-like scents (I am a die-hard sweet tooth after all!) which are also floral, fresh and light at the same time. There was a 30% sale when my boyfriend bought this for me, and it came down to less than $60 for a 100ml bottle.
I also received a lovely gift when I met up with Kristen from RewardStyle when she visited Australia! This is from Neiman Marcus, a high end department store from the US which now ship to Australia. Thanks so much Kristen, the rich blue colour of the earrings is beautiful!
