The month that was...

How is year almost over already? Moving forward I thought I'd share with you some of the things I've been doing each month, starting with this month past, if you'd like to hear.

This month I...

  • Visited Central Park way too many times. The whole of November the park has been absolutely stunning in all it's autumnal glory, I've taken so many photos (a few are below)! We are so so lucky to live in this incredible place to be able to experience the park at its best every year.
  • Celebrated a quiet, food filled thanksgiving at home and had my first ever taste of pecan pie. It was delicious!
  • Finished (!!) my Christmas shopping early to avoid the crowds. If you're still on the hunt for the perfect present check out my updated gift guide for a few fun ideas.
  • Got through a lot of good (easy read) books. My favorites have been Gone Girl, Where did you go, Bernadette?, and The Book Thief
  • Checked out some the Black Friday sales online. I can't believe some of the markdowns (have you seen this and these?!) So far I've been fairly good and only picked up 2 basic pieces, but it's getting harder to resist.
  • Enjoyed an incredible brunch at Buvette. I hadn't been in over 6 months because there's always a fairly long queue on weekends, but once I ate I remembered it was totally worth the wait (hint: try the Croque Madame and the cranberry walnut bread)
  • Finally picked up my new gold iPhone (with this bling cover to match). I've been without a decent phone for over a year (ever since mine was stolen last Halloween) which has made instagramming and tweeting on the go very tough! Now I'm back on the social media train 100%!

How was your November? What are you looking forward to next month?
