Hello, my loves! I have a new episode of Wildly Inspired up over here, but I'm going to cross post the video here so you can enjoy it even if you're not participating in the free class! If you want supplies lists and a place to show your work/view the work your tribemates post, then you'll definitely want to join us in the classroom. (Remember - free fabulous = FRABEEEEE!!! Woot!)
I went in wanting two things: ease, and flowers. Ease, for me, means loose and free. While I don't often use watercolor in my work, I'm starting to really get how easy it is, so I started there.
Creating this spread is a matter of layering wisely. Start with the loose, free floral shapes and then build the spread up from there. If you're nervous about smearing, you can apply a workable fixative, but I didn't have any trouble with smearing once the watercolor layer was dry.
There is no talking through the first half of the video since what I'm doing is fairly self-explanatory. Please refer to the supplies list and note that they are listed in order of appearance in the spread. That should help you figure things out.
Use what you have. Have fun.
