Sakura {Cherry Blossom!} Festival at Nakijin Castle Ruins

Our last cherry blossom season on Okinawa has been an absolutely spectacular one. And that precious, joyful little John Shea. He is oooh'd and awww'd over every single day in this beautiful culture. Okinawans love children. People of all ages stop to marvel, smile ear to ear and say hi to him. I think it speaks volumes about someone when they stop to pay attention to little people. They go crazy over his long, dark eyelashes and his stunning blue green eyes. They think it's the greatest thing when he smiles at them {it is!} and tell him he is soo kawaii {cute!}. He totally eats it up. I love watching him interact with everyone around him. I tell him each day as I kiss his chubby cheeks, "we love you so much," and "you are delighted in!"
Even as a baby, I think he gets that.
