Sadie Gets Cultured for 1883 Magazine

By far an all time favorite shoot of mine, Sadie Gets Cultured was a collaboration once again with Mark Shearwood and featured in issue 9 of 1883 Magazine. The gods aligned on this one and not only did we have the amazing Robilent Voena gallery on Dover Street to use as a setting, but after an initial freak out session that we weren't going to have the right model for this, we ended up working with the gorgeously surreal Sadie Pinn who pushed the shoot to new levels of weirdness - no direction was needed for this girl, we just had to sit back and watch what she came up with.

My buddy John Mullan did the hair and the minimally perfect makeup was done by Kristina Vidic. Stephanie Staunton on nails also added to the subtle quirkiness of the story by using an airbrush to paint Sadie's nails and fingers the same tone - almost like she had stubby fingers without nailbeds. I was also really psyched by the clothing we got a chance to shoot such as the striped Moschino outfit, the leather Marni bits, a perfect Paul Smith pin striped shirt and pleated skirt, the Yves Klein blue Gucci number, Delfina Delettrez jewelry and some great pieces from Osman, Maison Martin Margiela, Ashish, John Rocha, etc. All in all I EFFING LOVE THIS SHOOT and I hope you do too.
