Fine Knitting

I received the latest Vogue Knitting in the mail earlier this week. Usually there are only a handful of patterns that I'm interested in, but this issue is full of great patterns. However, I believe only one of the following patterns is knitted on needles bigger than a size 3. I've never made anything bigger than socks on needles that small. It's intimidating to think of how long it would take. That, and the fact that I can't ever seem to find fine weight yarn in solid colors, and I don't really like variegated yarn, especially for large projects.

For know, I'm working on socks, while I try to get my hands on some lightweight yarn. I don't know where I want to start!
