The Teacher Wife had a BABY!

Yep! About 2 months ago I had a baby. A beautiful baby boy. Remember when I posted about my Contractions Packet? Well, apparently it was good luck, because a few days later I started having real contractions and they put me into labor!
I should probably think about changing the name of this blog to The Teacher Wife MAMA! But I have to be honest with you... right now, I don't feel like much of a teacher (thank you maternity leave) or a wife (sorry honey!). So maybe I'll just change the name to MAMA! ;)
Being a mama to a newborn is exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Let me tell you this: being a mom is hard work! I thought that being a first grade teacher was hard, but being a mama is so much more challenging for me! I cannot imagine doing both simultaneously. I have a lot of respect for all the teacher/mamas out there! You guys are my heroes and I don't know how you do it. Since I'm on maternity leave, I'm home all day and I still can't manage to take care of my baby, shower, clean, or cook dinner, so I can't imagine doing all those things AND going to work each day.

This little guy has changed my whole world and I can't remember what life was like before him! It feels like he has always been a part of our little family. He has the sweetest little personality and I love him to pieces. He's my new little buddy and I'm excited to learn and grow with him. Since I'm a teacher, he'll be reading before he's out of diapers... right?! (I think I need to buy this onesie.)

My little family:

I'll be posting about his nursery soon. I had so much fun decorating it and I'm excited to show it off and share it with you! I'll also blog about a little birth defect he was born with called clubfoot (talipes).
Thanks for reading! Don't forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!
