Project DIY: ?Pompom beanie?

Knitted beanie with pompom is necessary and stylish accessory in winter. You can buy ready-made beanie with a pompom or upgrade your old beanie adding cool pompom. If you are interested in the second version, see this project DIY "Pompom beanie".
You will need the following materials for pompom: 1 ball of yarn for beanie, 1 ball of yarn for pompom, pompom maker.

Note: In our handmade work, we use knitted beanie designed and made by mum.

Step 1. If you want knit a beanie handmade here is a brief description: knit a 2x2 rib stitch, which is formed by alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. Knit approximately 20 cm.
If you use ready-made beanie, skip this step.

Step 2. Fix thread on pompon maker as shown in photo.

Step 3. Make a reasonable number of windings.

Step 4. Cut the thread.

Step 5. Tightly tie a knot on the pompom.

Step 6. Cut through the center of your future pompom.

Your pompom for knitted beanie is ready!
