Im a 50's Lady

Five years ago, if you’d ask me what I wanted to become in 10 years time I’d answer “a career woman”. Now, all I want to be is a house wife. No judging, but I do not mean the “domesticated” housewife who just sits at home at wait for her husband. I want to be the “empowered” housewife who balances family and career but wouldn't have second thoughts of giving up her career for her family.

In my past life, I think I was the iconic 50’s lady. What’s not to love about this era? Everyone wore A-line dresses and skirts, baked cakes and cookies, fetched kiddos from school and knitted all day long.

Well all has changed with today’s modernity. In less than 10 years time I’d like to be a woman who wakes up at 5AM and prepares her family's breakfast and her kid’s lunchbox. At 10AM, she does her household chore and attends to her business shortly after. At 1PM, she goes to with her girlfriends. Come 4PM, she fetches her kids from school and prepares dinner by 6PM. At 8PM, she helps her kids with their homework; tuck them to bed by 10PM and then she spends time with her husband. That’s the kind of life I want 10 years from now.

Have to be wed of course haha. I want a small church wedding. :)

The housewife chores. As much as I would want to do them all I can’t. So I guess I need a household helper who would do the laundry and iron clothes for me. Haha!
