Well, well, well, time flies really fast these days, doesn’t it? It feels as though we just celebrated New Year’s and now, we have Valentine’s Day. Do you have a date this coming Friday? Or are you just going to pretend that ‘Valentine’s Day’ does not exist (kinda like me sometimes, lol). Anyway, for those who are going out on a date this coming Heart’s Day, then this makeup look is for you. I called it Sweet & Subtle due to the pinks & rose-toned shades that I used to create this look. It can definitely make a statement, but in a nice, subtle way. PLUS! Majority of the items used in this FOTD are either budget-friendly products, or they’re from the drugstore.

So here’s my usual FOTD post, along with my thoughts about each of the products I mentioned. Consider it a 2-3 sentence review of each item. Feel free to skip em.

FACE

Ellana Minerals Make It Last Primer (PhP 450 – From Ellana Minerals*)
Revlon Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Concealer Treatment in ‘Light’ (PhP 400 – From Bon Marche)
Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation in ‘Chai Tea Latte’ (PhP 650 – From Ellana Minerals*)

THOUGHTS: I am over the moon with this combo. My new concealer, Revlon Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Concealer Treatment in ‘Light’, covers all of my breakouts & dark spots with just a tiny amount of product. Then my current favorite, pressed foundation, the Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation in ‘Chai Tea Latte’ offers an excellent coverage without making my face look cakey or overdone. It mattifies my skin like no other, but I still look glowy in some areas of my face. These are usually my goto products when I don’t want to put on heavy makeup

EYES

Ellana Minerals Eyebrow/Eyeshadow Quad (PhP 350 – Ellana Minerals*)
Jazzy Collections Brow Gel in ‘EBG 001′ (Jazzy Collections Counters)
ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame (PhP 200 – ELF Counters)
Maybelline Gel Liner (Maybelline Counters)
Nichido High Definition Lash Curler Mascara (PhP 280 – Nichido Counters)
Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base (Essence Counters)
Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoo in ‘Inked In Pink’ (Php 379 – Maybelline Counters)
San San Single Eyeshadows in ‘Water Terra Cotta’ and ‘Deep Earth Brown’ (PhP 50 each – HBC)

THOUGHTS: Tbqh, I am really in love with all of the Ellana Minerals products that I have at the moment. That’s why I used most of them in this FOTD. I think I found my new favorite brow kit. It’s the Ellana Minerals Eyebrow/Eyeshadow Quad. I love it so much! It makes my brows look so natural, yet defined. I’ve never seen my brows look like this before (in a good way). The mascara is a so-so. I just bought it so I’m still testing it out, see how it goes in the long run. I’ll keep you guys updated.

ANYWAY here’s how I did my eye makeup. I first applied Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base as my primer, then I applied my Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoo in ‘Inked In Pink’ on top. Afterwards, I used a clean medium blending brush to smoke it out, then I used the San San Single Eyeshadow ‘Water Terra Cotta’ as my transition color, then I used the ‘Deep Earth Brown’ shade to intensify the outer corners. To highlight my browbone and inner tearduct, I combined my Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation in ‘Chai Tea Latte’ and the highlight shade in my Sleek Contour Kit in ‘Medium’.

CHEEKS

Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Blush Duo in ‘Kitten/Peach Passion’ (PhP 450 – Ellana Minerals*)
Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in ‘Medium’

LIPS

Revlon Matte Balm in ‘Elusive’

I look so haggard on the 2nd pic, I know :/
THOUGHTS: I love this blush duo. In this particular look, I used the shade ‘Kitten’ which is a beautiful light pink shade, with fine specs of silver glitter. I love it because it gives me that radiant pinkish glow that I’ve always wanted in a pink blush.

And as for the lips, you pretties know that I love my pinky nudes/MLBB shade. Elusive comes off as a medium toned pink, just perfect to complete this look. Stay tuned for a review about the Revlon Matte Balms

So that’s my VDay look for this year THAT IS if I’m going on a date. Well, despite the fact that I’m dateless this year, I will still be celebrating, because it’s my mama’s birthday, so regardless of whatever the occasion is, I’m not going to pretend that tomorrow’s event doesn’t exist, lol. Anyway, Happy Hearts’ Day everyone! And to those who are still single (like me, lol), I hope that you still find this post helpful and take care everyone!
