Hi loves! This update was supposed to be up days ago but my server’s having some issues. Just when you’re feeling productive right? Anyway, if you’ve been following my posts, you will know that I have been loving this BB Cream from Heroine and it’s the Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream.

I know this isn’t helpful but that’s the closest I can get.

PACKAGING

I really love the packaging of this product. It comes in a pearl-pink squeeze tube packaging with a tiny nozzle small enough to let you control how much product you would like to use. The only downside is that, since it’s an Asian makeup product, there’s no English translation.

APPLICATION & SHADE

I am using shade #01 and it’s a bit lighter than my skin tone but it blends perfectly when I use my Ellana Angled Flat Top Kabuki Brush. This BB Cream has yellow undertones so it’s perfect for us Pinays. The only downside it only offers two shades. I have shade #02 but I haven’t busted it out yet so I don’t know the difference (apologies) but my point is that it doesn’t cater to all skin types, and knowing that most Pinays are also kayumanggi, I’m afraid this wont be an option for those women.

CONSISTENCY, COVERAGE & FINISH

The consistency of this BB cream is very lightweight compared to most Asian BB creams. It’s not as heavy and thick and it provides a semi-matte finish as well which is why I love it so much. It also doesn’t give me that heavy white cast. Further, as for the coverage, it can cover some minor flaws such as discolorations, redness but as for blemishes and bumps, I would still recommend a concealer. But it’s also buildable which is something that I really like.

PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY

In this photo, I used the Heroine Make BB Loose Powder to set it and if you know me I really cannot stand NOT setting my base makeup with a powder. I am going to review that loose powder soon, but let’s stick with this BB cream first. Anyway, what I also love about this BB Cream is that it didn’t emphasize any of the dry areas of my face. It doesn’t have that really tacky feeling that you get from other BB creams which I really hate sometimes (but you have to get used to in the name of beauty and all that jazz). It sets perfectly, and the BB Cream lasted for nearly 6 hours and without a primer.

SCENT, ETC

The more I smell this right of the tube, I really don’t detect a hint of scent. I don’t know if it’s just me but I really don’t smell anything. If it does have a scent, it’s obviously very subtle.

• THE VERDICT •

I really love this BB Cream. If not for the limited shade selection, along with the limited store location and the price, I would totally give this a 5. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a really good BB cream. Despite the high SPF, it does not give me that ghostly white cast when I take some photos even if the flash is on.
• WORTH THE MONEY•
YES
I would say yes, because it’s still a drugstore BB Cream and not all drugstore BB Creams are like this. It’s not very often that you would find a drugstore BB cream that practically acts like a foundation. It provides a light to medium coverage and it lasts for a really long time. Heroine Make is a brand known for their longevity and this product proves that.
• REPURCHASE? •
Oh yes! Nuff said! :P
• PRODUCT BASICS •
• Product Name | Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream
• Shade | No. 01 • Price | Php 595
• Avalability | Heroine Make counter at SM Store, SM MOA

So those are my thoughts regarding this particular product. Like I said before, I’m totally in love with this BB Cream. If I’m not using a foundation (which is not that often these days), trust that I’m using this BB Cream instead.

How about you? What’s your favorite BB Cream? Have you tried Heroine Make products? Let me know!
