So it’s definitely been a while since I last posted an FOTD and as much as I apply makeup almost every day, I really do miss posting some of my looks in this blog. My last FOTD was my Valentine’s Look (click here if you would like to see it) and to be quite honest, I never really thought of posting one again until recently. I’m not the best at creating looks and you pretties know that I LOVE my neutrals. But as they say, when you know, you know.. (or does that apply to something else.. Oh well! :P)
Now, let’s try this again..
FACE
For my base, I just used the QuickFX No Shine Mattifier as my primer. I am currently obsessed with this stuff. So is my mama btw! Then I mixed my Avon Ideal Luminous Foundation (Shell) with my Hayan Korea BB Cream. Unfortunately my Avon fondie’s a bit to pinkish for me so I had to make it work. I love this combination though! It gives me the coverage I want along with that pearlescent glow. Then I used my ZA Perfect Fit Concealer (not in the photo) to brighten up my under eye area then my Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer (Medium) to conceal some bumps & pimples. Then after I applied my brows, my eye makeup, I set my makeup using my current favorite – Heroine Make Mineral BB Loose Powder (01)
BROWS
After applying my base, I proceed with doing my brows. I outline and fill it with my no. 1 favorite brow product my Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit. Sadly, this has already been discontinued and I don’t know what brow kit I’m going to get myself next. Anyway, I set all of it using two different shades of Etude House’s Color My Brows.
EYES
Then after that, I proceed with doing my eye makeup. First I primed my eyelids using my Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper then I used my Smashbox The Masterclass Palette 2 for my eyeshadow. I basically used the gold shade for my inner eyelid area then I mixed it with champagne shade, along with warm matte shades for the crease to act as a transition shade. Then to line my eyes, I used my Pixy Perfect Eyeliner and for my waterline I used my Heroine Make Quick Eyeliner. After curling my lashes, using my Heroine Make Eyelash Curler, I then used my L’oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara.
CHEEKS
After doing my eyes, I proceed to doing my cheeks. First I did some heavy contouring using my FS Cosmetics Single Eyeshadow in ‘Cinnamon Mousse’, then to give my face that warm glow, I used my Tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer in ‘Hotel Heiress’. After bronzing & contouring, I then applied the shade ‘Flush’ from the Smashbox Masterclass 2 Palette as my blush then I used the shade ‘Incandescent’ from my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette as my highlighter and the shade ‘Dim Light’ as my all over setting powder.
LIPS
Finally to the lips, if you have been following my blog, you will know that I’ve always been obsessed with browns and mauves and I’m so glad that it’s now peeking it’s way through thanks to Kylie Jenner. Anyway, in this look, I’m currently wearing my Milani Lip liner in the shade ‘natural’ then I topped it off with my Wet N’ Wild Fergie Lipstick in the shade ‘Fergie Daily’. I find Fergie Daily to be a bit lighter for me to be quite honest, but now I found a great use for it.
So that would be it, loves! Those are the products that I have used to create this look. Let me know if you want to see more of these posts and I’ll see what I can do. As for this look, to be honest, I was just playing with my makeup that day (and yes! I do that when I am completely and utterly bored) and then when I saw the end results, I happen to love it. Hence the photo. Yeah, sorry for the lame excuse.
