Patrick and I spent the weekend at the most charming historic hotel, The Lowell Inn in Stillwater, MN. It's just so nice to get away from home every once in a while in order to really unwind. Saturday night was our Valentine's Day Dinner in advance, because we'll be busy this weekend and won't be able to celebrate then. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I have to say that it really is such a treat to be married to someone I love as much as I do Patrick. I can honestly say that my affection has grown over the last 7 years we've been together, 4ish of them married. Love has looked different than I thought it would at times, that is for certain. Sometimes it shows up as patience and stretching my mind to understand. Other times it shows up as grace from one or both of us. Often it's serving the other, even when we really aren't up for it in the moment. And it's those moments that make the lighter moments brighter. The easy moments more gushy and cherished. It was nice to take a weekend to relax and enjoy life together. We really loved The Lowell Inn and will definitely be making it an annual venture. Wishing you the most wonderful Valentine's Day!
