Macy's Secret Garden Fashion Event

Happy Monday, beauties! It was a whirlwind of a weekend in the best possible way, and the highlight for me was no doubt Macy's Secret Garden Fashion Event at Southdale Center in Edina on Saturday. It started with make-up by Clinique beauty specialist, Ashlee. She was super sweet and talented. I learned all about contouring and a few eye shadow tricks that I can't wait to try again.

Wore my new Waccamaw pearls for prep the day of the event. I have a feeling they are quickly going to become a go-to accessory.
The main part of the event was the Fashion Show, featuring some of springs biggest trends. All looks that could be purchased head-to-toe from Macy's. It was a blast to work with my co-host for the event, Jasmine Stringer of Carpe Diem with Jasmine. She's such an energizing, positive, friendly person with some serious style. We talked about each of the looks as they came down the runway on the gorgeous ladies of Caryn Modeling Agency. The models were such fun. We even crowded together to take an "Ellen selfie" backstage before the show.

It was not just a full crowd, but a crowd full of beautiful, stylish ladies. Some of my lovely friends and fellow MN fashion girls came out to the show. THANK you to those of you who made it to the event. It was so great to meet some of you in person for the first time. Loved chatting over sushi, spritzers, and sweets!

One of my favorite moments of the night was when we picked the winner of the $200 Rachel Roy giftcard. We randomly drew the name of a sweet, elderly lady. She was so surprised! She later shared that her husband had passed earlier in the week and that she decided last-minute to come to the event to help herself feel better. I teared up when I heard her story. She had a personal shopper from Macy's to assist her in finding the most perfect new clothes to add to her wardrobe. I love that someone in such a need of a boost was able to be doted on.

It was a treat to be part of such a fun event! I want to thank all of you again for the support and a special thanks to those who made it out to the event! Stay tuned for more fun shindigs like this.
