Curvy Chic Closet Preview Sale!

It's that time of year again! Curvy Chic Closet Sale! I was a consigner for the first time and it was actually a really easy process. Though I wasn't prepared for the women with tubs and baskets full of clothes at the drop off. But it only meant more goodies to check out at the sale! They have over 10,000 items consigned which is beating their record in the spring of 7,000. I love supporting such a fantastic local business. I also ran into Fat Fancy Owners Annie and Carlee! Love those two babes.
So what does one wear to such an event I thought. Comfort is a must since you are in a space with crazed fat women fighting for a great deal! Well maybe that is a bit extreme since I wasn't getting elbowed by anyone but there was so much to look through I needed my comfortable shoes on. Plus it was going to be warm that day so layers to peel off as the temperature rises was a must.
I got this strapless stripe dress from Torrid in a 5x which would seem normal for me but I was shocked to find it was really roomy in the bust. Now I am a big busty gal so this is normally not an issue. I would say buy a size down with this piece. Paired with my absolutely favorite over the knee leggings from Domino Dollhouse and a teal cardigan I grabbed from Rachel of The Near Sighted Owl at our PDX Fat Fashion clothing swap this summer! The final touch was my black clock purse which always gets looks and reactions which if I'm being honest is exactly what I wanted.
I managed to shop, mingle, pass out business cards and have an amazing time all while spending only 60 dollars! I came home with a Torrid Cop uniform (costume), some fancy sleepwear, t-shirts and 2 beautiful handmade rings.
