Essential Fall Lip Colors

If summer is lip gloss season, then fall is definitely lipstick season. While I’m all about a great poppy or coral hue, the darker, drearier days call for some serious drama to liven up the mood.

Vampy lips are nothing new for fall: a dark shade, paired with a heavy cat eye or full lashes, is basically the go-to look for fashionistas once the temps drop. If opting for a dark shade, be sure to look at hydrating formulas: the deeper the hue, the more likely it is to dry out your lips and accentuate any fine lines, cracks, or dry patches on your pucker. In terms of shade selection, I prefer to stay away from brown undertones, and instead opt for berry tones. Purple undertones will make your teeth appear whiter, and they look undeniably sultry.
