Dita von Teese x Christian Louboutin Partner Up on a Lingerie Collection

In a collaboration that literally surprises no one (I’m sorry, I can’t be the only one saying “why didn’t this happen sooner?”), burlesque goddess Dita von Teese just announced her partnership with the red sole master himself, Christian Louboutin, on — drumroll, please — lingerie.

Just because it’s not shocking doesn’t make it not exciting. The seven-piece line includes a bodice, suspenders, and a kimono, all retailing between 87.42 euros (for panties) to 749.92 eros (for the negligee kimono). The collaboration will be titled XXXtian, after “Xtian”, Louboutin’s signature on his personal e-mails. It’s his first foray into lingerie, though Dita’s a touch more experienced with her Parisienne, Screen Queen, and Madame X collections (among others).

What separates this from your average lingerie collaboration is that unlike the basic silks and satins of most styles, each piece is printed with a sexy toile de Jouy motif that’s designed by Louboutin himself. Each piece is made with silk and Leavers lace. Early Valentine’s Day present, perhaps? Christmas, even?
