Essentials for the Perfect At-Home Blowout

To me, nothing is more pampering (or more of a life necessity) than a really great blowout. It’s one of those things that instantly makes your look infinitely more put-together: you can be wearing no makeup and a pair of sweatpants, but if your hair looks like something off the Victoria’s Secret runway, you’re good to go. Plus, a blowout is one of those styles that looks even better the next day (and the day after that) then it does when you first walk out of the salon.

However, I don’t know about you, but I kind of don’t have the $40 plus dollars to throw at getting a weekly R&R session with my hair. I also have a trove of hair products that I’m not using, thanks to the gods and goddesses at Drybar, Dreamdry, and Blo. While I’m never the type to skip on a beauty treatment just because it seems — dare I say it? — excessive, my weekly blowout sessions just might have to come to a bit of a halt.

It was with this mindset that I began to work on perfecting the DIY blowdry. After quite a bit of trial-and-error testing, I’ve finally found the products that just work and leave your hair looking just as fabulous as it would if you walked out of your favorite salon.
