Post Traumatic Blogging Syndrome...

Well friends... I am having post traumatic blogging every day syndrome. I MISS it! :) So luckily, I still have some stuff to share!
First Up... This is Ellie's 2013 Christmas Ornament. I love this pattern and it is so sweet to stitch.
"Happy Hearts" designed by Diane Williams ~ Little House Needleworks stitched on 40 ct. Weeks Dye Works Straw linen stitched with DMC as charted This is a freebie chart and may be found: HERE

Then... I have to share a set of family ornaments that I stitched for some family friends for their Christmas gift.
"Gingerbread Family" I used the pattern entitled: "Season of Love" from the 2010 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Preview Issue Designed by: Nikki Leeman ~ Country Cottage Needleworks I just reworked it for single Ginger-person and charted the names (stitched over 1)
These... were really cute and I decided that I'm doing these for my own family someday too.
I have some... random shots that were taken over the entire Christmas holidays that I would like to share with you.
Ellie singing her solo at her Christmas Pagent:

Ian and Jake at their Christmas Band Concert (Jake: Alto Sax and Ian: Bari Sax)

Katie and her good buddy Ajay (they've been friends since 4th grade, he's like a member of our family)

My Kiddos A particularly nice photo of all four of them, they really are all pretty good buddies and typically do not get angry at each other ever. Most of the time, they are just as this photo shows and it does my heart good to look at this and smile back :)

Katie and her young man, Kamryn He is the sweetest boy (and crafty too!). This is the flower that he bought her for her birthday. See the purple tips on the flower? Her bedroom is purple and he painted every tip with glue and put glitter on them. HIMSELF!!! (his mother confirmed). I think he's a keeper ;) any man that would craft for their girlfriend....well I'm just sayin'...

Miss Ellie after she learned about gondola drivers at school... ha ha ha!!! I guess most gondola drivers have fringe on their hats and handlebar mustaches? :)

My Motley Crew... I was trying to get a shot for our Christmas card and told them to wait a minute while I got new batteries. When I came back I found:

Yes.. it did make the yearly family Christmas card....
and... Our Tree at Night...

That does it folks... the end of The Twisted Stitcher's Christmas. Sorta sad. Since I'm having eye surgery January 2. And we don't know how well my vision will be afterward, we have decided to take down our Christmas tree this weekend. :( So I have just a few days left of sitting with it gazing at it while it slowly spins... sad.
But with every ending... there's a new chapter! So, what are you all planning for 2014 stitching? After gazing another year upon Pricilla's Prairie Schooler Tree upon which she added a lot of new Santa's this year...OMGosh! I want a tree like that...NOW! I said it last year and I'm going to say it again. I want a Santa tree! BAD!
And every year... I have saved a photo of Carol's tree (I know its weird, and I think I have like 4, or 5 of them now saved to my hard drive) And through the year I stitch ornaments thinking: yep, I've got it, I think I have as many ornaments on my tree as Carol. Meanwhile, Carol is stitching away all year long.... And I wait for the moment that she will post and my eyes will first alight on her tree for that year: Carol's 2013 Gorgeous Tree and then I find... NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Ho, hum...
So... what are my stitching plans for 2014? I don't know. Is there any ornament challenges out there for 2014? I think with the way my life goes that perhaps it is better to just go with Vonna's flow. Try to make and meet my own personal challenges rather than conform to something that I probably won't meet anyway. We will see, I've got a week to decide ;)
Until next time... my love and appreciation for ALL the lovely comments and e-mails I have been receiving! THANK YOU!
Hugs and stitches, Vonna xxxx
