The Big Change

I've been going through my work computer getting everything ready for the big change. The big change that means I'm going freelance full-time and in the process getting super excited, panicking, super excited, panicking, repeat. It's been something I've been thinking and talking about for a while and it just seems like now is the time, crazy as it sounds. David has always been amazingly supportive and working at such a great company with a group of creative people who are like family is incredibly hard since change is not my specialty (In fact, I run from it!) but if not now, when?

Speaking of, I just found this photo and gosh, it's perfect.

Not perfect like magazine cover worthy (though, aren't we?) but perfect because that's us. Messy hair and all.

It would have been my Grandma's birthday yesterday and I've been thinking about her like crazy this month. David and I went to a performance at Dizzy's in Columbus Circle to see a Charleston drummer, Quentin Baxter, play with Rene Marie and as soon as she stepped on stage I felt it - Grandma. I wanted to tell David that she was singing the way Grandma sang and moving and laughing with the audience just like my Grandma would, but I was sure that would result in tears so I sat there just taking it in. No words. By the second act I had pulled myself together and finally told David and he agreed.

Why is it so hard to write this?

In any case, I'm seizing the day/year and looking forward to working and growing my business. Here we go..........!
