10 Great Finger Foods

Are you a bit of a TV addict or maybe you're glued to your laptop or tablet and like to eat whilst you work or watch your favourite programmes or join in with a spot of online gaming. If you fall into this category and sitting at the dining table with a knife and fork to eat a meal isn't for you, you may be interested in this list of non messy finger foods to enjoy without getting sticky fingers on your keyboard or remote control.
Breadsticks The perfect dipping food. No need to get any mess on your fingers from these. Straight out of the box, or if you have a bit of time on your hands you could try making your own, they really are quite simple - try this recipe I have for Garlic & Rosemary Breadsticks.

Sausage rolls Whether you like them with meat inside or a veggie filling, there is no denying that sausage rolls are the perfect finger food, on their own or as part of a meal or buffet - you can't beat a good buffet & some say that you can tell a lot about a woman by her buffet! Frozen sausage rolls are a good standby or you can make simple sausage rolls yourself - beef & mustard sausage rolls.

Food on sticks Food on sticks isn't just confined to sausages or cheese & pineapple. These days you can find all sorts of foods on sticks - pies, pancakes, cake pops, cookies, bananas and lots more - see my Pinterest board here for more ideas, like these pinwheel turkey pops.

Veggies & Hummus If you want to be a bit healthier then stock up your fridge with sticks of veggies and home made hummus. You can divide it into portions ready to grab and go from the fridge.

Sloppy Joe Cups Ok, you might need a napkin with this one, and don't hold it too close to your keyboard, but these are definitely less messy that the traditional sloppy joe.

Pastry Spoons Pastry spoons are a perfect finger food, what could be better than an edible spoon, no waste and no washing up. You can put whatever you like on the spoon, sweet or savoury. I made some at Christmas with cheese and chutney on.

Stuffed Peppers If you like something a bit on the spicy side then Jalapeno poppers or hummus stuffed baby peppers are delicious, as well as being healthy (kind of).

source
Chips The good old British chip, what's not to love about a steaming hot bowl of hand cut chips with ketchup on the side.

source
Spaghetti & meatballs Yes, you read that correctly, spaghetti and meatballs can be finger food. Little bowls of bakes spaghetti filled with a tomato sauce and a little meatball popped on the top. A plateful of these will definitely keep you going when you play online bingo at Paddy Power

source Sandwich If you're after something quick and fulfilling then the good old sandwich is the perfect finger food as you can add whatever you like to it, as well as toasting it or using a wrap for a bit of variety. I can fully recommend my favourite ever toastie filling - Cheese, banana, chilli & mango chutney, don't knock it until you've tried it!
