Mixing The Unmixable

I’ve resisted wearing Birkenstocks for quite a long time, but it seems like ancient history to me now. I’m in love with them, and, I must admit, own too many pairs... However, in my defense, they're all different. On the other hand, is it even possible to have too many shoes? I don’t think so! :) I also love the idea of mixing the unmixable, as I call it, and the way how Birks, and similar slides, were worn around the world this year (today’s outfit of mine is no exception) – without any style boundaries and paired with unexpected items – is a great example of what I’m talking about. Hope you like the look!

By the way, even though I’ve already packed these white Birkenstocks away for winter, I kept the black ones at hand. I’m seriously considering incorporating them into my winter wardrobe… :) What do you think? Yay or Nay? Any ideas or examples on how to do it?
