Colourpop is a new-to-me brand that offers up 32 shades of cream-to-powder shadows. With finishes that range from metallic to satin, and a color spectrum that includes nudes and neons alike, there's a ton to choose from. All it took was seeing
Phyrra's review and I knew I had to try a few! Bold color and budge-proof swatches? Sign me up.
I chose the following shades:
I heart this: metallic taupe
Cheeky: satin apricot - great as a blush too!
Desert: satin camel
Meow: shimmery grey
Mermaid Kiss: satin lime green
Sugar: A metallic powder blue
All of them have a nearly mousse-like texture - similar to
Kardashian's Intimate Spotlight - that apply evenly and smoothly. Applied with a finger, the pigmentation is more intense, but a dense synthetic crease brush is great for building color elsewhere on the lid. What I can't get over is how solidly they dry down, and how long they last. Worn without a primer, I didn't experience any creasing or fading throughout a 10 hour work day! What's more is that I found satin shades like Cheeky can be worn as a blush - you get a soft, romantic flush to the cheeks, but the same great lasting power as on the lids.
For $5 a shadow, these are a steal! The colors are great, the quality is fantastic, and the price can't be beat for the amount of shadow you get.
