I love how my tastes in home decor and fashion are constantly evolving. Is it that way for you too?
I know it’s a little difficult if you’re on the budget to be in a continuous state of style evolution. But there are always ways to change things up on a dime.
Right now I’m really loving the trend of blending vintage with modern design. And these images from Architectural Digest of an old Hamptons home complete re-build – and merge of the old with new – couldn’t be more perfect to show what I mean.
The article on AD about this beautiful Hamptons home is a must read as the owners and architect Peter Pennoyer and designer Matthew Patrick Smyth wanted to keep the charm and quirks of the old home that needed to be replaced. I highly recommend hoping on over to AD to read the post in full.

What drew me into this home was the way the rooms are decorated with a classic and modern flair. Notice the vintage pieces, chairs, classic couches, and wicker furniture married with cool modern lamps and bold shaped furniture such as a fabulous half circle desk and a completely modern kitchen.
There’s so much inspiration to take from this home I could admire it for days.
What are some of the pieces that you like?
