Liz and Will’s Chic London Wedding

If you look up “chic” in the dictionary, there should be a picture of Liz and Will’s London wedding next to the heading. Their wedding is chicness at its best! The two got hitched at Islington Town Hall and had their reception at The Happenstance near St. Pauls Cathedral. The decor at The Happenstance was beautiful, and since the couple wanted to go away from tradition, they had a cheese cake instead of a traditional cake. That is, they literally had cheese piled up in the shape of a cake. Now that’s my kind of cake!

With Francesca Secolonovo Photography behind the lens, fun details like old school London buses for transport and a Maserati for the beautiful couple, as well as mini Jagermeister wedding favors for each guest to keep the party going, made this wedding even more unique. And Liz had the most beautiful bouquet of pink orchids. To top it all off, every guest was dressed to the nines…a seriously chic and dapper crowd.

From the bride:

” Me and Will met through mutual friends six and a half years ago. Will taught me how to play squash, it’s always been a bit of a running joke amongst our friends and he totally took me by surprise by proposing on the squash court that we always play on! We then had a quick change before heading out for an amazing dinner and then on to Seville first thing the following morning for a long weekend! Will had booked the whole trip and told me we were staying in a B&B but he’d actually booked the most incredible hotel! It was amazing, the whole thing was so thoughtful and I was totally overwhelmed.

Finding the right photographer to capture our big day was so important to us. We searched long and hard and were thrilled when we came across Fran’s work and discovered that she was available on our wedding date. Fran is relaxed and easy going but incredibly passionate about what she does which is the perfect combination for capturing amazing images on such an important day. Fran’s photography is gorgeous and exactly what we were after. We felt in safe hands from the start and the results are just what we wanted!

To sum up our wedding in two sentences. An incredibly special day with wonderful friends and family. We had a simple, personal ceremony and a good old fashioned knees up after!

Biggest surprise of the day: Turning round to see my mum dancing on top of the bar…Will and I followed shortly after!”.
