Going It Alone

As you know if you’ve been reading for a while, I love to share everything with you guys – WishWishWish has been my personal diary for the past 6 years now (wow!), which is why I have something exciting (and a little bit scary) to tell you; I’ve decided to leave my job and work on the blog full-time!

I’m sure it came across how much I loved my role at ASOS, but a year and a half in, I couldn’t help but feel that it was my time to go it alone. I seem to have surrounded myself with friends who work for themselves – and couldn’t have been more jealous that they were able to do simple things like respond to emails in a timely manner, or travel without counting how many days holiday they have left.

Balancing Act

Blogging professionally and working 5 days a week is no mean feat, and I felt that I owed it to myself to really put all of my energy and time into not only the blog, but also other freelance projects. I always knew I wanted to be my own boss – it was just a matter of time! I’m bursting with ideas and passion and can’t wait to bring it all to life.

Of course, this means that as before (when I was saving all the money I could to help achieve my dream!) you’ll spot sponsored content on here from time to time. I want you all to know that I’m as honest as I possibly can be with you guys, and wouldn’t ever work with a brand that I didn’t have a good feeling about. I also put even more time and energy into these collaborative posts to make sure they are as interesting and rewarding for my readers as they are for me. They allow me to be able to spend time working on other fun things like city guides, tutorials, recipes and more (just you wait and see what I’ve got planned!)

I almost feel like I have to go back to my roots slightly and reacquaint myself with the tripod and remote! Expect even more from WishWishWish in the coming months – and whilst I’m on the subject, if there is anything you’d like to see more of, do let me know in the comments. Or y’know…if you want to hire me to photograph/write/film something for you…do gimme a shout!

Thank you all so much for supporting me for the past 6 years – the 17 year old that started this little blog never would have imagined she’d get this far! x
