Have a nose…

I know what a nosey lot you are – some of my most-read posts have been the 25 facts about me, my house tour and this little post about my boyfriend Miguel, so I figured it was about time I shared another little bit of my life – my workspace!

Miguel and I live in a small place with two bedrooms, the smallest being our little office. When you’re working from home I think it’s really important to have a separate space to go and work, away from the TV/cosy duvet/fridge – I mean, the internet is distraction enough (yep, I’ve been watching YouTube videos of Kit Harington since my last post went up..). Like I mentioned, the space is only very small, and just big enough for our two desks (I tried to throw Miguel out in favour of a rail of clothing but he was having none of it!) but it’s all I need.

Bits and bobs

I know it’s practically a sin to photograph a desk that doesn’t have an iMac on it (complete with retro clock screensaver) but my trusty PC has served me well over the years. Aside from that, my desk features a lot of style over substance – knick-knacks collected over the years. A lot of my stationery was found at Artbox or YesStyle - I can’t resist little cute characters – expect my collection to expand tenfold when I finally visit Japan one day.

my desk itself is from Ikea – it features a glass top with space underneath for me to display different bits and bobs – at the moment it contains lots of polaroids and a couple of the magazines I’ve been lucky enough to feature in.

As the desk isn’t great for storage, I have a beautiful box from Sengtai (that also comes in pastel pink!) that houses business cards I’ve collected, as well as my own, and a handy drawer to store my monthly receipts.
