A quick OOTD from yesterday! After a morning of squirrelling away on my computer a bus journey for lunch with a friend is just what I need! Miguel works ridiculously long hours, so if my day doesn’t involve shooting something or any reason to leave the house I’ll find that I may not have uttered a single word to another human being all day!

Thankfully I had Reem to blurt it all out to on a little lunch date in Hampstead. We talked over pizza and mille-feuille (which I still just point to on the menu as I’m useless and have no idea how to pronounce it. Not as much of a francophile as I let on obviously!)

Even when I attempt to wear something casual it seems to morph into something more complex. Throw on a pair of flares and automatically you need to pair them with the biggest platforms you own so they aren’t dragging on the floor and fraying a la the baggy jeans of 2004. And nothing quite finishes off a striped top like a bright red lip, am I right?

Perhaps when I head off on holiday at the weekend I’ll finally allow myself to do proper casual. I’m even tempted to buy a pair of sliders…watch this space…
