Makeup Bag: Alice + Olivia Designer Stacey Bendet

“I really only do a full look of makeup for events, date nights with the husband, or nights out dancing to jazz with friends. My day to day is just as girly and fun but a little more mellow – and easy! I mean, do you know how hard it is to put on a lash while holding 2 kids and making pancakes all in 6 inch heels!? As far as my daily go-to’s go, I am really only into using makeup that makes me feel pink and shimmery like champagne.

Here are the typical contents of my makeup bag:

Homeoplasmine – This is the end all, be all skin cure! I mean, if its cut, scratched, itchy, dry, red…. I just lather it on! it’s an ointment that I swear cures all. Its especially amazing for dryness.

Stila Eyeshadow Pans- I’m a huge fan of the champagne and beige sparkle shades. I use them on my cheeks and eyelids! I love the softness of the powder and we all know I like a little sparkle!

Stila Convertible Color in Petunia – Favorite cheek color ever, it just gives you that perfect sun-kissed glow!

By Terry Baume de Rose Crystal SPF 15 – It’s a treatment that repairs and moisturizes my lips but it also gives them a pretty gloss without any stickiness and a kick of plump for good measure. A true multi-tasker!

Julie Hewett Organic Camellia Balm- This is actually made from the same ingredients of ancient geisha face ointments and you can use it on your lips or under your eyes for dryness, wrinkles, or those morning after margarita bags! I put it under Eloise and Scarlet’s (Stacey's daughters) noses when they have colds too.

YSL Lipsticks – An assortment of the bright colored vintage throw backs like original red and coral and magenta—they last all day and they are the most amazing shades of red and pink that I have ever owned! I’m also a fan of Stila Lip Glaze in Lemon Grass (Editor's Note: This color has been discontinued but Honeydew is very similar). As you can tell, I’m a lip girl.

Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX 05 – For some of those morning after sleepless nights like when one child is crying and the other is screaming alternate hours of course…or hangovers—I swear there is no better cover up. its on the thicker side but it is just ONE with your skin!

Shu Uemura Eye Shadows – Loving navy and gold! I always stop at Shu Umera when I am in Asia. I love their shadows and of course their feather lashes!!! (which can ONLY be bought in asia so if anyone is going anytime soon please feel free to pick me up some new pairs!)

L’Oreal Voluminous Dramatic Building Mascara in Carbon Black- Mascara is a staple product. The blacker the better. This one is extremely black and gives me that fake lash look.

Almay Liquid Eyeliner in Black – How I love the drama of a good liquid eyeliner. And I’ve learned that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to see results. This one is great for creating that precise line on the top lashes. I reserve this look for my night out with girlfriends.

Lollipops – A little sugar never hurts. I have really been into caramel flavors lately!

My makeup bag is Pylones. It’s compact, fits all of the essentials and washes off well (so important when dealing with cosmetics and two kids!).”
