Crush red velvet just reminds me of childhood holiday dresses. When it arrived in the mail, it was instant nostalgia. I don't usually look good in red (my hair is a clear indicator why), but I couldn't resist this Victorian velvet mini dress from Free People. But I usually can wear golds and dark cream colored tops so this color combo was a match made in heaven. And I'm not the only one that loves it. Grant couldn't get over how cool the top was. When I was getting ready to order it, he was like, "Seriously, that is awesome." That's a lot coming from him about a dress. ;)
One of my favorite parts about it is the sleeves. I love how detailed the whole top is but the sleeves are just to die for. The flare around the wrists and the sheer arms <3 And the back! Guh, I don't have too many low back dresses so it's a change of pace from my normal dress choices. And I LOVE it! So thank you Free People for giving me the perfect Victorian holiday doll dress. I couldn't feel more elegant in anything else! And for more completely drool worthy holiday looks, check out their collection of party dresses that will give you heart eyes. Literal heart eyes. ***swoon***
