Today was Father’s Day and my daughter was determined to take her Daddy a cup of tea in bed. She made it (nearly) all by herself and then I carried it up the stairs for her.
Yes, we’ve gone completely loom band crazy in this household. There are little rubber bands all over the house and an ever-growing pile of completed bracelets. This morning my daughter decided to teach her little brother how to make one.
I pulled up behind this van in a traffic jam on the way home tonight, and fell in love with the customisation of the VW logo – so cute!
I read this story to my son this evening. And my husband read it to him the evening before. In fact, we’ve read it a LOT. So much that he can recite the whole by heart.
It’s a good thing I quite like this book, isn’t it?
Today we were getting things all ready for my husband and I to travel to London for the BritMums Live blogging conference (we’re the official videographers again this year, and both speaking as well). My son and daughter are going to stay with the family of my daughters best friend from school (who conveniently has a brother my sons age). My daughter insisted on copying me and writing her own packing list before we started putting things in the suitcase. This is what she came up with.
For those that don’t know, Taggies is her comfort blanket which she still likes to sleep with, and Cathy Bear is her favourite teddy
Today we arrived in London at the BritMums Live blogging conference, and I got quite a shock when I checked into our (quite swanky) hotel. The porter who carried my suitcase to the room proudly informed me that our room featured a glass window between the bathroom and bedroom so that you could watch the TV from the bath.
Really?!?
Thankfully it had a blind, which I closed as soon as the porter left the room, and kept closed for the duration of our stay!
Three years ago I won an award for being innovative in blogging. Last night my husband evened the score and won his own award for innovation. He is part of the team behind the Love All Dads podcast who won the INNOVATE category in the “Brilliance in Blogging” awards at BritMums Live last night.
I am so proud of all of them, but particularly this man
